Bountiful quarterback Hudson Malmrose scored on a 1-yard run with 44 seconds left Friday, Oct. 2, to pull the Redhawks within one at Alta. Malmrose then hit Max Feller for the two-point conversion that sealed a 29-28 road win.

The victory moved Bountiful to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in Region 6. KUTV reported the Redhawks sit atop the region standings. KSL Sports had ranked Bountiful No. 22 in the state entering the week.

Malmrose and Feller connected on a 17-yard scoring pass in the first quarter, and Cole Brooks added two second-quarter touchdowns to build an early cushion. Alta rallied with touchdowns from Lucas Pagel and Bronson Schriever to take the lead before Malmrose's late scoring drive, according to the Deseret News.

Woods Cross 60, Brighton 52

Woods Cross put up 60 points for the first time since Aug. 23, 2024, according to KUTV, and snapped a five-game losing streak with its first Region 6 win of the season.

The Wildcats trailed 35-22 in the third quarter before storming back.

Quarterback Tage Ita threw four touchdown passes and ran for another. Cale Macarthur and Bronson Martin each scored twice. Martin's two quick third-quarter touchdowns, including a 67-yard run with 1:47 left in the period, swung the game for good. Ita's 3-yard touchdown pass to Weston Nielsen with 3:18 remaining in the fourth quarter put the finishing touch on a 60-52 win that improved the Wildcats to 3-5 overall.

Olympus 34, Viewmont 21

Viewmont fell to 3-5 overall after Olympus scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter to blow the game open.

Olympus's Henry O'Neil hit a 25-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter. Viewmont's Austin Cannon caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brett Tovey with 7:12 left, but the Vikings could not close the gap.

Davis 14, Farmington 3

Farmington managed only a 35-yard Owen Morris field goal in the second quarter and was shut out in the second half. Davis receiver Bode Sparrow caught touchdown passes of 42 and 31 yards from Paden Toula to account for both scores. The loss dropped the Phoenix to 3-5 overall. KSL Sports had Farmington falling out of the state Top 25 entering the week.
