Bountiful's weekly farmers market ends its 2026 season on Oct. 15, with Thursday, Oct. 8 and Thursday, Oct. 15 the only remaining dates on the city's events calendar.

The market runs 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday at Bountiful Town Square, 75 E. 200 South. Vendors sell fresh produce, baked goods and handmade products.

The season opened Thursday, June 25 and has run every Thursday since, giving Bountiful a weekly outdoor market for nearly four months. Vendor applications opened in March, welcoming farmers, bakers and makers to apply for spots, according to a Bountiful City newsletter.

SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks accepted

Shoppers who use SNAP/EBT benefits can spend them at the market, according to a Bountiful Main Street post on Sept. 17. The Bountiful Farmers Market also participates in Double Up Food Bucks Utah and Produce Rx, two programs that stretch food dollars for qualifying buyers.

Double Up Food Bucks matches EBT purchases at farmers markets on a two-to-one basis. The program serves seniors and low-income families who often face hard choices between groceries and other essentials.

Gina Cornia, executive director of Utahns Against Hunger, described that pressure in an Aug. 13 Davis Journal article about food insecurity in Davis County.

"It's 'do I buy medication or do I buy food?' We see that a lot and so this is really a way to bolster the diets of seniors …" Cornia said.

Davis County's food insecurity rate stands at 12.7%, according to the Davis Journal report. Cornia told the paper that demand at food pantries is higher now than during the pandemic, driven in part by federal cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Produce Rx is a separate initiative that connects participants with fresh food through health care providers.
