Hill Air Force Base has set May 1–2, 2027, as the new dates for the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air Show, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds confirmed to headline the Davis County event.
Utah Air Show Foundation Executive Director Kevin Ireland announced the dates Oct. 6 at the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee's briefing, Fox 13 reported. The biennial show had been canceled in April after military officials said they needed to prioritize resources for "critical, ongoing operations" related to the Middle East conflict.
Organizers initially rescheduled for June 19–20, 2027. The new May dates move the event up by nearly seven weeks.
The show typically draws between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors to Hill Air Force Base. Ireland put the local economic stakes in plain terms.
"The entire show weekend generates $30 million for local businesses as visitors show up and need places to stay and eat," he said.
Admission is free. Paid VIP tickets are also available, according to ABC4. Tickets go on sale Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. through the Utah Air Show website. Anyone who purchased tickets for the canceled 2026 show will have them automatically transferred to the 2027 event.
The 2027 lineup will include historic and modern military aircraft alongside the Thunderbirds.
Hill Air Force Base spokesman Kendahl Johnson said the air show will shift from even years to odd years after the 2027 event, KSL reported. The show had run on an even-year cycle for years.
U.S. Air Force Col. Dan Cornelius, 75th Air Base Wing commander, acknowledged community disappointment when the postponement was announced in April.
