All Davis County Library branches will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, for Labor Day, including the two locations serving Bountiful and Farmington readers.
The Bountiful Temporary Location, nicknamed "The Twig," at 85 N Main St. and the Headquarters Library at 133 S Main St. in Farmington will both be shut for the day. The closure covers every branch in the system, according to the Davis County Library's website.
Both locations normally operate Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are closed Sundays. That means the last chance to visit before the holiday is Saturday, Sept. 5, and regular hours resume Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The Twig serves Bountiful during renovation
The Twig is open through Saturday, Sept. 5, for Bountiful patrons who need library services before the holiday. The temporary branch has been serving patrons since the main Bountiful Branch Library closed Jan. 26 for a renovation expected to last at least 18 months, according to a Davis County Library newsletter.
The temporary branch offers books, computers, 3D printing, storytime and study space at 85 N Main St.
Farmington's Headquarters Library, the system's main branch, can be reached at (801) 451-3030 for questions about hours or services.
Labor Day is one of 11 standard holidays on which all Davis County Library branches close each year. The list also includes New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Pioneer Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
