Davis County school families will get monthly grocery deliveries through a new partnership between PMI Foods and the Utah Food Bank.

The company, formally known as Parker Migliorini International, announced Wednesday, Sept. 2, that it will donate $15,000 to sponsor participation in the Mobile School Pantry program for the next two years. The program delivers 15 to 18 pounds of grocery-style food to each participating student's family at the end of the school day, monthly throughout the school year.

Davis County is one of five counties the program serves, along with Iron, Utah, Salt Lake and Washington Counties. ABC4 first reported the announcement, which was timed to the start of National Hunger Action Month in September.

One in six Utah children faces food insecurity, according to the Utah Food Bank.

"This donation from PMI Foods will help us purchase, assemble and distribute resources to those in need," said Ginette Bott, Utah Food Bank president and CEO. "We are thankful to have their continued support during Hunger Action Month."

Darin Parker, president of PMI Foods, called the Utah Food Bank a strong partner in addressing food insecurity and said the company is proud to expand the relationship through the Mobile School Pantry. The two organizations have worked together before. In summer 2026, PMI Foods donated 1,738 fully cooked frozen protein products to the food bank for distribution to pantries and shelters statewide, according to a PMI Foods press release.

The Mobile School Pantry operates at 70 school sites statewide, according to the food bank's website. The program reached 436,190 individuals, including 247,826 children, in its most recent reporting year. Bott described the program as delivering food "directly to one of the most trusted environments for Utah families… the school playground."

The Utah Food Bank did not name specific Davis County schools participating in the program. Families can search for nearby Mobile School Pantry locations on the food bank's website at utahfoodbank.org. The food bank distributed 69.6 million pounds of food through 309 partner agencies statewide in its most recent fiscal year, according to the press release.

Hunger Action Month runs through September. The Utah Food Bank encourages residents to volunteer, donate or advocate for neighbors facing food insecurity. More information is available at utahfoodbank.org.
