Free Medicare counseling ahead of open enrollment

Fall prevention programs
September is Fall Prevention Month. The newsletter reports that 1 in 4 Davis County adults aged 60 and older reported falling in the past year. The county promotes evidence-based exercise programs at its senior centers, including EnhanceFitness and Tai Chi, as tools to reduce fall risk.
Davis County Senior Services also offers in-home assistance to residents 60 and older who need help with everyday tasks. Some programs carry income and asset requirements. Residents can call 801-525-5050 for details.
