The South Davis Senior Activity Center in Bountiful is lining up holiday meals, a military trivia quiz and caregiver support for November.

The center at 726 S. 100 E. will host a Veterans Day Treats and Lunch Quiz on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Donuts and juice start at 11:15 a.m., followed by lunch and a military history quiz at noon, according to the Davis County Senior Services November 2026 newsletter. The event is billed as a chance to honor veterans and test knowledge of military history.

Later in the month, the center will serve a Thanksgiving turkey lunch on Tuesday, Nov. 24. A screening of The Blind Side follows at 12:45 p.m., with snacks provided.

A separate holiday meal lands on Friday, Nov. 20. The "I sure Ham ThankFULL" lunch special features ham, baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, broccoli Normandy, fruit and celebration cake, served at 11:45 a.m. That meal requires an RSVP in person or by phone.

Caregiver support

The center also hosts a Dementia Support Group for Caregivers on the first Thursday of each month, 3–4:30 p.m. The next session falls on Thursday, Nov. 5.

The support group is one of several caregiver resources across Davis County this month. A "Dealing with Dementia" workshop runs Thursday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Central Davis Senior Activity Center in Kaysville, at 81 E. Davis County Senior Services is also offering caregivers a thank-you gift during November. Caregivers can call 801-525-5050, option 5, to reserve a gift and pick it up at a local senior center while supplies last.

The newsletter notes that Davis County Senior Services provides in-home services for residents 60 and older who need help with everyday tasks. Some programs have income and asset requirements.
