Three South Davis County football teams took the field Friday, Sept. 18, and all three walked off winners.

Bountiful rolled past Woods Cross 28-7 in a Region 6 matchup. Farmington topped Weber 30-13 on the road in Region 1. Viewmont held off Brighton 19-14 in another Region 6 contest. Thunderstorms delayed kickoffs across the Wasatch Front, KSL Sports reported, but the weather did not slow the local offenses.

Bountiful 28, Woods Cross 7

The Redhawks controlled the game behind running back Ami Vunipola, who scored two rushing touchdowns. Bountiful improved to 3-2 overall.

Woods Cross dropped to 2-4 on the season. The Wildcats have now lost four of their six games, including a 41-17 defeat to Farmington on Sept. 11.

Viewmont 19, Brighton 14

Brett Tovey carried the Vikings' offense with two rushing touchdowns. Viewmont moved to 3-3 overall after absorbing a 55-14 loss to Layton Christian on Sept. 11.

The win evened Viewmont's record at .500 heading into the second half of the season.

Farmington 30, Weber 13

Quarterback Alton Dahl threw three touchdown passes to lead Farmington's offense. Receiver Kava Fiefia hauled in two of them, covering 77 yards and 52 yards.

The Phoenix improved to 3-3 overall. Farmington competes in 6A Region 1, a different classification from the other three local programs, which play in 5A Region 6.
