The Woods Cross Police Department will host its annual National Night Out on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hogan Park, 1555 S. 800 West.

The free event is part of a nationwide police-community partnership campaign that has run every August since 1984. Food trucks will be on-site for attendees to purchase meals, according to the city's official announcement.

No alcohol and no pets are permitted in city parks, the department noted.
