Woods Cross High School's academic performance goes before the Davis School District board at a workshop Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m.

The lead agenda item, "Academic Achievement: Learning First Presentation — Woods Cross High School," will be delivered by Principal Jo Richins and Secondary Director Chris Keime, according to the board's published agenda. The district has not released the data ahead of the presentation.

Woods Cross High, at 600 W. 2200 South in Woods Cross, is one of the smallest comprehensive high schools in Davis County. The school offers Advanced Placement and concurrent enrollment courses and is a feeder school for the district's Chinese Dual Language Immersion program, according to the district's DLI secondary programs page.

The school has seen significant facility investment this year. The board approved $1,696,264 for gym air conditioning and $549,687 for a waterline replacement project at its May 5 meeting, according to board minutes. The waterline work addressed galvanized pipes that had caused leaks, brown water and low pressure, with completion scheduled by August 2026. The gym air conditioning project was scheduled for completion this fall.

Woods Cross High students received public recognition at the May 12 Bountiful City Council meeting, when Assistant Principal Sam Demonja brought 11 students before the council. Students including Alliance Uwamahoro, Diana Marroquin and Makini Ita'Aehau were recognized for academic excellence, community involvement and leadership.

Beyond the Woods Cross presentation, the workshop agenda includes a Trustlands Conference exhibit from Assessment Director Julie Lundell, an Information Technology Department presentation, a Material Distribution and Nutrition Services exhibit, and a Board Calendar Priorities discussion.

Board President Brigit Gerrard presides over the seven-member board. Superintendent Dr. Dan Linford leads the district.
